Early cancer detection is your best bet to a successful stomach cancer treatment. If you are having one of the symptoms in the list below without any specific reason, then maybe you are facing early stomach cancer warning signs.

An simple endoscopic examination of the stomach will give a fast and clear answer whether you have stomach cancer. An endoscopy is an examination where a doctor will look inside your stomach pushing a flexible scope down your throat.

7 possible stomach cancer warning signs

Changes in the stools: diarrhea and/ or constipation can be one of the symptoms of stomach cancer. Never let a constipation take longer than a few days!

Blood in the stool: Seeing blood in your stool could be a symptom of stomach cancer. In my father’s case it was a sign of his cancer, which was located in his colon. Sometimes blood in the stool is only visible with a laboratory test.

Loosing weight/being anorexic without trying: If you are loosing weight and are not on a diet nor are you increasing your daily activities or exercises, you may be feeding a cancer. Again, weight loss can be caused by many other diseases both physically as mentally.

Nausea and/or vomiting: Feeling nauseous and vomiting lasting more than a day could be a symptom of stomach cancer. You also have to know that elderly people do suffer more from nausea than younger people, so again: nausea and vomiting is no clear indication of any cancer. But you should see your doctor and insist you get to the bottom of it.

Vomiting will surely occur if you have a cancer in the top of your stomach.

Loss of appetite for more than 2 days is always an indication that something is wrong, both mentally or physically.

Feeling full or bloated:

Feeling bloated after eating is a more common symptom of stomach cancer. Feeling bloated in general can have many other causes than having cancer.

Feeling full after eating less than usual can indicated a cancer is located somewhere in the abdomen.

Feeling tired for no apparent reason could be an early sign for cancer but can have lots of other reasons.

Stomach cancer diagnosis

Unfortunately it is as you above very difficult to immediately understand that the above signs indicate you have stomach cancer.

In most cases only abdominal pains or discomfort triggers people to get care. So don’t wait until you have a severe pain: go and see your doctor when you are experiencing one of the above 7 stomach cancer warning signs!
